The Organization

PNAMH Mission Statement

We, the nurses of this professional organization, the Philippine Nurses Association of Metro Houston, have joined together as a local chapter of the national organization, the Philippine Nurses Association of America.

We strive to promote unity among Filipino- American nurses in Metropolitan Houston and provide a forum to address issues affecting our nursing practice.

We endeavor to network with other professional organizations and agencies, to develop and implement educational programs relevant to nursing practice, education, and research.

We initiate and actively participate in community activities and services, to promote health and prevent diseases.

We collaborate with and support other organizations and agencies, both local and national, to promote professionalism and facilitate acculturation of Filipino- American nurses. We strive to support initiatives for the preservation of our own cultural heritage while acknowledging and embracing cultural diversity.

We believe that through the joint efforts and cohesiveness of our Executive Board, the working committees, and all the members, we will plan, strategize, and prioritize our activities. We will set realistic goals to implement and achieve our mission.

On behalf of the newly elected board and myself, it is with great honor and enthusiasm that I welcome you to the 2024-2026 term of the Philippine Nurses Association of Metro Houston.

Our association has always been a pillar of strength, unity, and professional growth for Filipino nurses in the Houston area. As we embark on this new term, we are committed to continuing this legacy of excellence and camaraderie. Our focus will be on fostering an inclusive environment where every member feels valued and empowered to contribute to the nursing profession and our community at large.
